It is best to write your thoughts and feelings out in a journal |
I am going to start this post off by telling a story. This is a story of a young girl who went through high school. She started off as a freshman being scared of all the teachers surrounding her. She was scared to speak, to move, or even to think. This young girl was bright for her age, but yet she did not believe it to be so. Although she was afraid of her teachers, she still tried to go to them for help, even if she could not look them in the eye. Then, sophomore year turn around for the worst for her. She did meet some really cool people, whom she did become great friends with, but her mental state was soaring for the worst. She kept having these thoughts like: You will never amount to anything. Those people don’t care about you.
That one chemistry teacher does not care. In fact, none of the teachers do. Nobody likes you. Give up...Give up….Give. Up. Those thoughts ran through her head and grew worse over the summer. Over the summer, she lost those friends, who always told her that they were going to stick around. Granted, it was her fault they went away, but she still felt like they could have at least stayed. She also lost someone that she consider a real big impact in her life.

Read a book that relates to your own education. |
Then, junior year rolled around. She has gotten a bit better. Her teachers seems to understand what she was going through, even if she couldn’t quite understand it herself. She went through periods of down-rolled spirals of the thoughts, and of actually wanting to end her life. She struggled from time to time to believe anyone actually cared for her, but people kept reaching out.

Sometimes reading helps provides a stability of your mind. |
No matter how hard she tried to push them away, they still stayed, unlike her sophomore year friends---they did something she did not quite believe anymore. Finally, senior year happened. Her mental health became the worst.

Reading can also helps you set goals for the future, and dream big. |
Luckily though, she had numerous of supporters and people in her corner to get her the help she needed. Today, she is alive. She is writing as I type this up, because that little ‘ol story was me. I was that girl struggle with my mental health. I was the girl that did not believe in myself, or better yet, did not know how to take care of myself. I just thought that I was fine….that I was okay. However, mental health is just as important as physical health. We, in this society, should take more notice of that.

It also allows you to know what path you desire or want to go into. |
Okay so taking care of yourself is one of the most important things, guys!! I mean, seriously? Which is more important to you: playing something you love, or something you hate doing? If you chose the something you love, great! You are well on your way to an ultimate downfall! "Why?", you must say I am assuming so? It is because although taking care of yourself is doing something you love, but you have to also hate it in the process. You have to get outside of your comfort zone just a tad bit. You can’t just be in your comfort zone all the time. One of the things about life is that it is uncomfortable. So, hate what you love, and love what you do!
